Thanks, you're a life saver, or should I say an Easy Bake Oven saver!!! I was just about to return this and thought, "let me check to see online if there is any hope on finding this dam bulb". It's been about 2 weeks on the hunt for this bulb. You would think the Hasbro would include this blub with the oven or at least have this bulb with the extra snack packs that they offer/sale next to the easy bake ovens. ?? Lowes here we come. My daughter got this kit for a Christmas gift and we've had the same problem with the instructions. Did it work out successfully for you? We have a problem with the paint bleeding underneath the stencil. Any solutions?

If the bulb was included, it would most likely get broken. I'm sure the reason they use a standard bulb is to get enough heat from the light. However, I've yet to find a bulb that says standard, though I did find the clear ones from Sylvania at KMart.

Just used a Double-Life bulb in the oven and it worked fine. Was concerned it would take longer to cook, but the cookies actually came out crispy after 10 minutes. I'm surprised some marketing genius hasn't figured out to sell 5 cent "easy bake light bulbs" for $5. ha

Glad to have found this site. I looked and looked too. I was thinking the "clear" bulb was going to burn too hot and was going to restart my search, but after seeing this, I am relieved to see that the "clear" bulb will work. I did find a box of standard bulbs at lowes, but was only sold in an 18 pack and not sold individually. Darn those soft white, double life, and energy bulbs that you can find everywhere!

my 4 yr old daughter got one this Christmas and My husband read the instructions and I just grabbed the closest thing to a 100 watt bulb I could find at Target. A 95 watt soft light bulb. HA! My dd is now very upset with me as she has to wait till I can go to Lowes! I was online looking at stores websites to try n see who has them to avoid driving everywhere. Hasbro is going to have to fix this problem as soon those bulbs will prob be illegal or something due to energy consumption. TYVM your blog has saved me oodles of searching.

Not shame on Hasbro - shame on the Federal Government for regulating the kind of bulbs we can use! Just wait until new federal regs kick in eliminating regular light bulbs completely.

In any event, we tried a GE Reveal bulb because it didn't say long life, soft white or high efficiency, but alas, our daughter's first cake attempt was a disaster. So - off to Lowe's tomorrow morning to buy a few (cases of) bulbs. Thank God for the Internet!

Dear "Mom", you are right to be concerned aobut this product. I haven't tried Latisse, but have tried Lumigan (I bought it on-line) for longer lashes. I couldn't even get through 2 weeks of use! It made me lids itch like crazy and turned them a reddish-brown color (like I had been crying for days). I got much better results with Revitalash---tried it last year and will go back immediately!!!
